Shahidi Diwas (शहीदी दिवस)

1. Today 23 march 2020 we tributes to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru, who died on 23 march 1931. They mistook John Saunder for British Police Superintendent James Scott and assassinated John Saunders, in 1928. They want to assassinate James Scott because he ordered lathi charge due to this Lala Lajpat Rai Died.

In the memory of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru this day is remember as Shaheedi Diwas (Martyrs’ Day).

2. United Nation create global coronavirus fund.

The fund will assist developing countries with weak health system to address the crisis and to tackle the long term consequence.

3. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia

Today is the birth anniversary of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. Dr Ram Manohar Lohia was born on 23 March 1920 at Akbarpur, United Provinces of Agra and Oudh, British India. He was a socialist political leader was an activist in the Indian Independence movement. He participated in the Quit India Movement, the India Independence movement.

4. Tamil director Viswanathan passed away

He has acted in movies like Oomai Vizhigal, Veedu Manaivi Makkal and Vanaja Girijia etc. Apart from acting, directing and writing he was known for hosting live debates on television.

5. World Meteorological Day is observed On 23 March

The day is celebrated by the world Metrological Organization. The theme of the 2020 World Meteorological day is “Climate and Water”. The theme focus on climate change for the year 2020 is “Count Every Drop, Every Drop Counts.”  The day focused on the challenges posed by the water crises, Floods and Droughts and lack of access to clean supplies.
